The idea for a class emerged from my desire to rediscover and reconnect with my Asian heritage. However, I was unsure of where to begin or what specific topics to explore. Ultimately, I decided to center the class around tea, as it occupies a unique space in both Asian and Western cultures. Its versatility and multitude of uses were also compelling, but it was the rich tradition underlying the practice that particularly piqued my interest.
